What is copper strip?
Copper strip is actually a general term for copper plate and copper belt. Copper plate refers to the rolled plate of copper, which includes hot rolling and cold rolling. Copper strip refers to the copper rolled products with thickness between 0.06 and 1.5mm. Copper plate belt can be classified according to different grades, which can be roughly divided into brass plate belt, copper plate belt, bronze plate belt and white copper plate belt. So what are the processes for copper strip production? What are the process defects in copper strip reproduction and how can we solve them?
Process flow of copper strip
1. The hot rolling production process of ingot: smelting → casting (vertical semi continuous casting or vertical continuous casting) → (sawing) → (sawing) → heating → hot rolling → milling surface → cold rolling → heat treatment → finishing → packaging and warehousing.
The hot rolling process of ingot is the most widely used mainstream production technology at present.
2. Horizontal continuous casting production process: smelting → horizontal continuous casting strip → (annealing) → (annealing) → milling surface → cold rolling → heat treatment → finishing → packaging warehousing
Horizontal continuous casting process is used to produce alloy varieties (such as tin, P bronze, lead brass) which are difficult to hot rolling.
The process is short, the production cost is low, and the equipment occupies the ground.
At present, the alloy production is relatively single, the mould loss is large, and the homogeneity of the upper and lower surface of the billet is difficult to control.
3. The production process of continuous casting method: smelting → upper lead strip billet → milling surface → cold rolling → heat treatment → finishing → packing and warehousing
The continuous casting process is a new short flow production process developed in China, which is used for the production of copper.
Its production process is short and energy consumption is low.
4. Continuous casting process of vertical bending: smelting → vertical bending casting → hot rolling → cold rolling → heat treatment → finishing → packaging and warehousing
The production efficiency is high, the production process is short and the energy consumption is low.
5. Production process of roller wheel / double belt continuous casting: smelting → roller / double belt continuous casting → cold rolling → heat treatment → finishing → packaging warehousing
Roller / Twin strip continuous casting process is a short flow production process under research and development.
Its production process is short and energy consumption is low.
6. The production process of continuous extrusion method is as follows: smelting → upward drawing copper rod → continuous extrusion → cold rolling → heat treatment → finishing → packing and warehousing.
Continuous extrusion process mainly produces copper bar and copper flat wire.
The strip width and product variety are limited.
