Why do EDM punchers use electrodes copper tubes?
Electric spark punching machine is commonly known as piercing machine, piercing machine, small hole discharger, fine hole machine. Electrodes copper tubes working principle is to use continuous vertical movement of copper tube (called electrode wire) as the electrode to remove metal from the workpiece by pulse spark discharge. Electrode wire and metal discharges produce high temperature corrosion metal to achieve the purpose of perforation.
The electrodes used in the copper tube of EDP are red copper and brass. The diameter of the electrodes ranges from 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm. The electrodes used for different workpieces are different: brass electrodes are needed for workpiece steel, red copper electrodes for workpiece tungsten steel, red copper electrodes for workpiece brass, brass electrodes for workpiece aluminium and brass electrodes for workpiece graphite.
