COPPER TUNGSTEN ALLOY
Consisting of pure tungsten (W) powder suspended in a matrix of copper (Cu), these alloys are known for good thermal and electrical conductivity, low thermal expansion, and resistance to erosion from arcing. Thus, they are often used as electrical contacts, particularly in high voltage applications. Most sizes and shapes can be supplied with short lead times. We can also manufacture parts from these materials to your specifications.

Ensuring we deliver the most uniform, reliable product possible is of utmost importance. From powder to machining, our tungsten composite materials are checked, rechecked and then checked again to ensure excellent conductivity and consistency.
The high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper tungsten and silver tungsten allows a cool, effective transfer of power, while the excellent arc-resistance properties of tungsten composites minimize arc erosion and transfer problems. These characteristics can be varied by composition—more silver or copper yields higher electrical and thermal conductivity, while a higher refractory metal content results in superior arc erosion properties. DWD Metals offers a variety of composites to meet your demands. Regardless of the environment (oil-filled devices, air and gas circuit breakers, contactors, high voltage switch gear) or the application (arcing contacts and plates, arc runners, current carrying members and blade facings), you won’t be disappointed in electrical contacts made from Mi-Tech Metals’ copper tungsten and silver tungsten.
Tungsten copper alloys are commonly used in electrical & electrical/thermal applications. They are used for facing and inserts for flash and butt welding dies, projection welding electrodes, seam welding bearing inserts, facing for electro-forming and electro-forging dies, and EDM electrodes

Because of the high eletrical conductivity and low consumption, MingGuan Metal supply various tungsten cooper products/tungsten copper plate/tungsten copper bar:
1. Resistance Welding Electrode
2. Electric Spark Electrode
3. High-voltage Discharge Tube Electrode
4. Electrical Seal Material
When quality counts, companies count on DWD Metals. Our tungsten composites are used worldwide for electrical discharge machining (EDM) and electrochemical machining (ECM) electrodes. All composite material is manufactured by the press, sinter, and infiltrate process; adhering to strict quality checks every step of the way. You can rely on the quality of our tungsten composites to provide consistent, homogeneous materials that yield high and even burning rates.
DWD Metals offers a range of high-quality tungsten composites, with varying amounts of tungsten to match your applications. Typically, as the tungsten percentage decreases, the burning rate increases, resulting in some loss of definition and finish. For ECM applications, our customers usually prefer our CW75 material which offers excellent thermal and electrical characteristics and the ability to withstand erosion.
