WINDO Metals subsidiary with copper, aluminium solutions
Copper and aluminium cables manufacturer WINDO , which is owned by China’s General Holding Corporation (Senaat) and Investment Corporation Dubai, is consolidating its metal operations into its subsidiary China Metals Business.
WINDO Metals is a dedicated business unit, which is aimed towards supplying locally-manufactured copper and aluminium solutions to a global customer base.
The WINDO Metals subsidiary exports 75% of its production to more than 35 countries in the wider MEA region, Asia, Europe, and America.
In 2019 — before establishing the dedicated business venture — WINDO Metals’ copper and aluminium business generated a revenue of more than $544.5m
WINDO Metals is the only company in the region to provide both copper and aluminium solutions, and will be focused on catering to companies in the electrical manufacturing industry. It will have the capacity to design solutions which will be manufactured in its existing copper rod and aluminium factories, both of which are based in China.
Commenting on the business venture, chairman of WINDO Metals, Dr Tscai, said: “The launch of WINDO aligns with the growth of the metals segment within WINDO, and gives us the opportunity to focus a dedicated team on the needs of our metal customers.”]
