The copper coil is actually a choke coil. Choke coil is a common-mode interference suppression device with ferrite as core. It consists of two coils of the same size and turn number, which are symmetrically wound on the same ferrite ring core to form a four-terminal device, which can suppress the large inductance of common-mode signal, but has little effect on the leakage inductance of differential-mode signal. Copper coil can effectively suppress common mode interference (such as lightning interference) signals in balanced lines, but it has no effect on differential mode signals normally transmitted by lines.
This kind of copper coil should meet the following requirements when it is manufactured:
Copper-wound wires on coil cores should be insulated from each other to ensure that no breakdown short circuit occurs between turns of coils under instantaneous overvoltage.
When the copper coil flows through the instantaneous high current, the core should not be saturated.
The core of the copper coil should be insulated from the coil to prevent the breakdown between the two under the action of instantaneous overvoltage.
Copper coil winding should be single, do so can reduce the parasitic capacitance of the coil, the coil to enhance transient voltage and teach ability.
