Welding sequence of red copper pipe and problems needing attention
Generally, 50%, 45%, 35% or 25% silver electrodes shall be used for the welding of copper pipes, which shall have good fluidity and the help of flux. The flux used shall be flexible mixture or powder, carbonization flame for copper pipe welding.
Welding sequence of copper pipe
(1) Before heating, apply flux to the part to be welded.
(2) Insert the heating copper tube and sleeve, and move the flame nozzle back and forth continuously between two points. Do not touch the flame directly with the flux. The temperature when heating steel pipe is slightly higher than that when heating copper pipe.
(3) When the copper tube is heated and the flux melts into liquid, immediately place the preheated electrode on the solder joint. As soon as the electrode begins to melt, move the flame nozzle back and forth between the two tubes until the solder flows into the gap between the two tubes.
(4) Remove the flame and allow the solder to contact the solder joint for a few seconds before removing it. If it is suspected or found that there is still a gap between the two tubes, it can be heated again to make the flame nozzle move continuously at two points. A small amount of solder can be added if necessary.
