Copper Pipe Welding Method in Air Conditioning Refrigeration System
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems generally use copper pipes as connecting pipes. In the process of manufacturing, installation and maintenance, copper pipe welding is a key link, which directly affects whether the system can work normally and must be highly valued. Commonly used solder types are copper-phosphorus solder, silver-copper solder, copper-zinc solder, and the like. In the copper pipe welding method, according to the characteristics of the pipe material, the correct selection of solder and skilled operation to ensure the quality of the welding.
Brazing of copper and copper
Phosphorus-copper solder or phosphorous-copper solder with low silver content, such as 2% or 5% silver-based solder, may be used. This solder is cheaper and has a good melt, using a caulking and wetting process that does not require flux.
Copper and steel or copper and aluminum welding
Silver-copper solder and appropriate flux can be used. After soldering, the residual flux near the soldering port must be cleaned with hot water or steam to prevent corrosion. When using flux, it is best to dilute it into a paste with alcohol and apply it to the surface of the solder joint. When welding, the alcohol evaporates quickly to form a smooth film that is not easily lost, and at the same time avoids the danger of water immersing in the refrigeration system.
Copper and iron welding
Phosphorus copper solder or brass strip solder may be used, but a corresponding flux, such as a mixed flux of borax, boric acid or boric acid, is also required.
